A view from the bus as we drove thru Zulu land
We stopped at a gas station. Gas is put in by women. Women wash the windows. I'm glad I'm not Zulu. The women also grow the crops.
This woman standing by the road had lime rubbed on her face. I need to find out more about it. It has something to do with superstition.
Farmland in Zulu land
On the way to Durban, we stopped at the Ardmore ceramics studio. They have added a line of fabric to their product line. This very large foot stool was beautiful
This crocodile bowl is typical or Ardmore work. I didn't buy anything here. It is all beautiful, but expensive. My roommate bought a plate and bowl and had it shipped to her home. The shipping was $300.
This young girl is learning to paint the ceramics. She is an apprentice
In this studio, workers add three dimensional pieces to the turned pieces
Here an animal is being attached to a plate
This is the painting studio. Workers are allowed to take work home if they want to work overtime

More painting
This board had pages with illustrations the painters can use in their painting
We arrived in Durban late in the afternoon and got checked into the Benjamin hotel. Tonight's dinner was on our own so some of us went to a Cuban restaurant. Take a close look at the pipes on the shelf
