Friday, August 16, a travel day

Today we journeyed through the Panorama Route through the rugged Drakensberg mountain range. The names of the lookouts are God's Window, Wonder View, Three Rondavels and the Blyde River Canyon, the third deepest canyon in the world.

We stopped for lunch in Graskop which has a great collection of galleries and shops with African arts and crafts. This is the menu for lunch

I had the asparagus, bacon and cheese pancake. Which is really a crepe

Background on the town from the menu

A silk shop where I bought a hand dyed silk scarf

We are in the macadamia capital of South Africa. I'm guessing the bus is 100 pounds heavier because of it. I am without nuts. We did dinner on our own and caught up with email, etc

Location:On the road to White River, Mpumalanga
